21's without lowering car.. will it look weird?

Hi guys,

I just bought a 2004 G35 coupe today ($19490 with 27k miles great condition). I am a complete newbie with cars... the only thing that I know is how to drive the car and how to put gas in it.

If I get 21's or 22's on the car... will it look weird without lowering the car? I know some people go for smaller rims in the front than the back. Any advice?

Thanks

My advice: put on your flame suit and/or delete this thread. You will look like a 4x4, don't do it. The only way to pull off 20+ is for the rest of the car to be super-slammed and super-aggressive, e.g. widebody.

Thanks for the reply... and whoops I put this in sedan instead of coupe. Ok, what should I lower it to? I live in Philadelphia so the roads are pretty bad in most places. 0.5"? 1"?

if you wont lower it, don't bother even putting such big wheels on the car.

most guys opt for tein springs on stock shocks. if i were to get springs over coils, i would go with tanabe for the best drop. but i would highly suggest coilovers

You don't want 21's in Philly. Slightly lower and get 19s at most. Be classy not trashy.

Atta boy, that's what I'm saving up for. Some people here will disagree of course, but if you get some nice tasteful rims you wont be disappointed. Look around on here, there are a lot of people that pull off that setup really well

i really dont get big rims. I really don't.

Which reminds me I have to post up this idiot with a... what? 40" lifted?

20" is the max. but you gotta drop it. I suggest coilovers.
