hey guys. im new. but i need to figure out this problem.
i have an 03 G35 sedan. with 153k on it. runs and drives like a champ.. i have had it now for 2 months.. but heres my problem. one night when roads were wet and slippery.. i decided to hot rod my car in the shiftable manual trans mode. rather than auto. well. i was revving high and rpms were red lining.. (i kno, kinda bad, oh well ) lol so i overrevved it like 3 times. and it kept kickin me down like it should.. wanting to go to the next gear but not allowing it cuz in manual mode. welllll.......20 min later. my check engine like came on. so i stopped. had it checked out with a scanner and found out that it was my PNP switch that had gone bad, i think.(i have cleared the light 4 times now to see if it was the prob and same thing everytime) so i ordered the park/nuetral switch from the dealer. it was like 21 bucks.. no biggie. but here is my dilema. my dad has a shop and we have a nice lift. i need to know where this switch is located. and how hard it would be to change it.
its driving me crazy cuz im gettin prolonged shifts.. shifting that should be happening sooner. and almost feels like the trans is slipping.. but when i clear the code with the scanner.. it shifts smoothly with no problems. PLEASE HELP!! thanks
