Here let me make this easy would you buy from JMac88? His itrader score is 1 so he is relatively new i guess.
Social I can be trusted because i'm not selling or trying to get you to buy anything. You could have been helpful to someone that is new to the forum and let them know how it is and not been a dick.

he wasnt being a dick at all. he was mearly stating something that has happened many times before. its not only the seller that has to be trusted. but also the buyer. there are ways to scam people as the buyer.
but yea i would go off itrader points and number of post. for instance. if you were trying to sell something and you only had the 9 post that you have and 0 itrader points. i would not buy something from you. but if you had say 200 post and atleast 1 positive i trader points with 0 negative points i would probably buy something from you.
its not to often that we have problems with people selling stuff on this forum but occationally we do.

I agree with checking people's itrader score. I have bought and sold a lot of stuff on here and have never had an issue. However, we've had a few scammers lately so you can never be sure of who you're dealing with. I also like to point out to prospective buyers that I have 100% feedback on eBay as well with over 60 transactions there so hopefully I've built up enough goodwill to be trusted as a seller and a buyer.
Most of the people i did business with where good. Didn't have a problem with them. i say small items is safe to be purchase here. for large items and amount, i would do business face to face so you can check out the stuffs before paying.

Hey Dallas,
I'm relatively new to the forum and have also sold a few items to othe members. I would say X2 on all the above mentioned, but also use your gut feeling. If you PM a seller and if some of the details he/she provides seem questionable, ask them to clarify or maybe do a thread search on buying tips to input your dilemma. I'm sure you'll get all the feedback you need from other members. Also, if you post questions on said classified and the seller's reply post seems questionable, you'll probably get plenty of interjections from members calling the seller out on it.
I may be new to the site, but I've been selling on the internet and Ebaying (user: minusonecba) for over 10 yrs and it seems to me that oddly enough, that online payment services (such as PayPal) are much more secure than a cashier's check or money order (which apparently are becoming popular forgeries) so if a transaction does go sour, then you always have a little bit of protection from your CC company and the online payment service.
Lastly, the classifieds section is set up with certain rules that sellers and buyers must comply with or they might get their post deleted (for possible scam ad), such as; a seller must provide pictures of the product for sale AND have a pic with a handwritten piece of paper (of sort) with their username and the date taken. This lets potential buyers know that the product ACTUALLY belongs to said seller and they are not just hotlinking a pic off the internet to drum up scam sales.
Hope that helps a tiny bit.
Good luck!
