Any pics as to wear that is? I am not sure where that is.

BTW is it normal to change the spark plugs and clean the TB on this car with only 60k?

^ Technically every 30k you should clean the TB

Plugs generally not needed until 100k but maybe you need it earlier.

I doubt its the spark plugs then. TB probably needs a cleaning. Any idea what a dealer charges to do that?

^ no clue

but people on the forums usually change out the plugs at like 55k before the warranty runs out to fix the leaky valve covers.

Yea, i should probably do that. What kinda plugs are good? I can just buy some good ones and just have the dealer do the labor. Plugs look like kind of a PITA to do on this car.

My car just needs a lot of little things.... atleast that effing rattle is fixed lol i need to do something to this car.... whats something that i can do to enjoy it more? Im bored of it. Its been the same for over a year now.. gotta liven it up a bit. Not really interested in performance. After spending seat time in the STi and new Vette, my car feels anemic and slow LOL so i need to do some appearance stuff or something..

I was wrong, the crank position sensor is located near the oil pan and picks up the signal from the flywheel. It's hard to describe. You'll need to download the FSM to see where it is.

As for the plugs, Nissan says 105K miles, but I'd recommend no longer than 80K miles, if not earlier. 105K miles is way too long and they'll show lots of wear. Additionally, leaving plugs in aluminum heads for 105K miles isn't a good thing. They can get cross-threaded because of the resin that builds up on the compression chamber side of the plug. For the amount of money a dealer would charge to change the plugs, you could buy yourself nearly all the tools needed to do most every service on this car. The dealer will probably charge you $300+. For that, you could buy NGK iridums, a floor jack, jack stands, breaker bar, socket set, rachet, wrenches, screwdrivers, flashlight, shop gloves, and a handful of other tools do the plug change yourself. Same goes for the TB cleaning. All the DIY stuff on this site.

On any other car, (or atleast the ones i'v done spark plugs on..) i'd say sure! But this car has such a goofy location for them. Just doesn't seem like it would be easy to access or do and i'd probably screw something up. Maybe i can get my sisters fiance to help me. He said he'd help me do my brakes...

Get the Hikkatadori replica like mine, but for the 05/06, and adapt your lip to it... I think you would be the 1st running that exact setup.
Mold in your lip spoiler, or get the HD trunk, then get some pretty sliver wheels... like Chris' DPEs maybe...

Ok, there's all your money spent... anything else while I'm at it?

Oh yeah... shave your door moldings and then tell Marcus "In yo face!"

You'd like the HD trunk a lot better. Just look up Aaron or Papa's pics to take a peek. Other than the small fitment issue they are beautiful and completely change the look of the car. Then change up the wheels and voila, all new appearance.

And fvckin man up and just do your plugs. They're not hard at all, just time consuming because of everything you have to undo to get to them. Go slowly and methodically and you'll be fine. I think you can get the full set of NGK Iridiums on eBay for ~ $40.
