so do worn down tires make noises?
I had this weird noise come from what sounded like to me the back of the car it was like a thud every other second sounding like a flat tire... got out and looked and tires seem fine etc. I took it to the dealer it took them a while to figure it out ...they told me there is two noises.
One Which a bushing needed to be replaced in a shock and another that my tires are worn down on the inside (due to im lowered on 350z s techs).. Now are they just telling me this to buy new tires from them? OR do tires that start to wear on the inside make a noise. This noise came ALL THE SUDDEN out of the blue.. and I have had tires more worn down than this too and never heard a noise.. this was before I was lowered tho....
Also brought it in there because of gas fumes coming through the AC which only happends during mid day at its hottest point around 105 degrees in up. Well since its been relatively cool like 98 since they have had the car they cant get that smell to come through the AC and said sorry we cant find anything wrong...

Tires won't make that type of noise when they wear. They'll hum or scrub, but they'll never make a thud.
First things first? WALK AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIP UNLESS YOU HAVE YOUR KY JELLY READY.
Replace your tires, check the shocks to make sure the nuts haven't backed themselves out, and check your bushings to make sure they aren't stretched or torn.

Well according to the dealership when I brought it in for one noise they said they heard two! One which is my balding tires! (which I cant afford a new set) Tires look 100% to me except minor worn down on the inside. They said they heard another and is being fixed by replacing a front shock bushing.. So im getting my car back at 430 today soo Ill see if the noise is gone.. Cant I just rotate my tires? They are about a year old and they were 1200 dollar tires from costco!

I don't have a camber kit lol.. I honestly I don't think it's my tires I think the dealership just wants me to spend more money and also saying that cause they really don't know where that noise is coming from so there blaming them on the tires... I get the car back in an hour or so and I will take off my tires and take a pic of the tread and you can decide how worn down the tires are... I don't really think they are that worn at all...

with my drop i have going 5k miles on them and they still look like the first day i bought them .... its all about how you drive .... if it still makes the noise go in the market place and get you some used shocks and see if that fixes it ... they are like 40 bucks on here .. just keep your eyes open ... are you still on sedan shocks/struts or did you go with all 350z set up ??
