Do our fenders have VIN#?

My friend was looking at my bay today and noticed my fenders didn't have a VIN on it. Is that how it is for all our cars or could my fenders be aftermarket?

Another quick question, I'm not too familiar with the g35's oem/aftermarket clutch, but are our clutches supposed to be mushy? I have a competition clutch with 3k miles on my sedan, and it's already starting to feel mushy.

Our fenders do not have a VIN# stamped on them. The VIN number on our cars is located in three places that I can recall: a square plate in the engine bay on the passenger side, at the very back of the engine bay behind the area where the TB and Upper plenum meet, and a sticker in the driver side door jamb.

Nice to know, I was getting paranoid as I thought that the fenders may have been aftermarket. Can anyone answer the clutch question?

unfortunately, the g35 does not have the vin number on every body panel like a honda does.

no your clutch should not be mushy. check your clutch master and slave cylinders for leaks. sounds like either one or both could be going out

What else should I check for? When I press in the clutch it doesn't spring back it kinda hesitates.

Flush the clutch fluid using DOT 3, 4, or 5.1 brake fluid. Chances are even the Valvoline DOT 3 at Walmart is better than what you have in your lines right now. You can also choose to go with a high performance fluid like Motul or ATE Super Blue.

Our clutches engage near the top of the pedal travel and have a vague engagement point, but the term mushy might indicate that the fluid is bad or the clutch is going out. When the pedal doesn't come right back up, the first thing to check is the fluid. I'm not sure why, but the clutch fluid in our cars get contaminated quickly.
