I don't like the fact that people compare BMW to Infiniti, I think they are two very different cars, not to mention that they are made by two different countries...different engineering and performance. I originally had a E46 325i and the car was pretty amazing, but for the price..yeah I rather go with the G35. My friend just got a 2011 BMW 335i and that car is pure sex in every way(engine, performance, interior, exterior). He got it for 50k, and that is too much for me lol

A few months under my belt: I sorely miss my M3. The blistering, ferocious acceleration a far cry from what this G35 6 speed brings me. A plus, I'll admit, is ingress/egress. The M3 seats seem to wrap around and hold you in place, but they're DOWN, low. Getting in this car is like climbing UP onto a couch. Just wish this thing would come alive before 3k on the tach.

Come on here once in a while these days to check everyones rides out. But I don't post much here anymore. I saw this thread and figured I would comment.

Having owned an 03 g35 sedan and now, an 04 e46 m3... there is no comparison. Two completely different types of machines with two different types of mindsets. First off, I could have told you that you would have missed your M haha. The g35 is a fantastic car. I owned mine for 3 years and loved it. You got the G for the right reasons. Reliable, easy to maintain, looked good, and practical. Bending into a 2 door m3 getting your 2 year old out is no fun. But the 4 door G makes life that much easier for you.

It's hard coming from an e46 M3 to a g35 sedan, I can tell you that much. Even though I went the other way (g35 -> M3), I still find it hard that I didn't own one of these all my life. Don't get me wrong... The G35 is a great car with plenty to do to make it quick, look good, and fun. But you just have to let go of comparing an e46 m3 to a g35 sedan. There is just no comparison.

Here's a pic of mine

From one hella clean sedan to a hella clean E46.

Are those Forgestar wheels? They suit the car so well!

Thanks man. Love your G as well!

Nah, they are VMR's. They were my temporary wheels for the summer until I get the wheels I really want. They do look great though. Matte black with a custom burnt orange pinstripe around the wheel and wheel cap to match the cinnamon interior. I get a lot of compliments on them.

and since they never offered an M3 in a 4 door, I had to look elsewhere.

Strange.....I drive one every day.

VMRs are huge in the BMW world eh.

Tim, the E46 was never offered as a 4 door m3, they lost it for some reason then it returned with the E90s.

Yes. I implied E46. I never cared for the E36 style once the E46 came out...and even after the advent of the E92, I still love the look of the E46.

The new m3's look way better than the e46 imo. The new ones look pissed, the old ones look happy. A friend of mine had an e46 right before the e92 and he says the new one is better in every way
