Hey guys, hopefully someone can help me figure this out. Recently when driving i hear a screeching sound coming from the rear of my car. It happens when I'm cruising at about 60-80 km/h I take my foot off the gas for about 10-15 seconds, then re-apply gas, I hear the sound for about 5 seconds then it completly stops. It randomly happens when ever i drive. Sounds like its coming from the exhaust.

Most synthetic oils are good for upwards of 8000 miles, but most filters havent advanced that far yet. I use K&N gold or a mobil 1. I still dont go above 4k on the change its just the piece of mind.

would it be a big deal if the heat shield basically rusted off of the cats ..?

story . i was under my ride this morning changing oil . and noticed the shields were falling off . from being rusted .. so without much effort they came off .

wondering if i should get new ones or it doesnt matter really ...

check the underside of your car for holes or cracks or something also see if your muffler is bolted on fully, try taking a video of the sound, also see if it does it in neutral

They don't come painted from the dealer. Looking for one that is painted to the color i need.
