Marry or not to marry, that is theee question
Now i know this decision is between me and my girlfriend but it couldn't hurt ot hear some opinions, so i love my 03 5at sedan right now but a 6 speed and ivory pearl color always floats through my mind and instead of tearing down my car and it being out of commission for a while why not but like an 05 ip 6 speed. So after talking with my girl she says we get married and that will be my wedding present. Anything feature I want for this car i can have so should I?? Like i said peoples opinions may be different than mine but it couldn't hurt to hear what fellow G owners have to say

We already brought a house about 6 months ago and we go on vacations pretty often...and i do want to marry her she just wants it done asap lol...i want to wait for now, not to mention shes 7 months pregnant also
this thread is kinda lame. do you WANT to marry this girl? dont even think about the car. just think only about if you DO or DONT want to marry her. if she has to pursuade you with a car. then i say no do not get married

^^^ I kinda agree. Seems like there is too much material incentive to get married.
Even so, I would take that money, put half towards the honeymoon and put half towards fixing up the house for the baby... it is your baby, right? If not, GTFO of there. You get a little fun and a little responsibility outta your cash. At the same time, the money is being for you and your new family.
I wouldn't buy the car based on principle. It doesn't really improve your situation and no one else benefits from it. At the end of the day, it's nearly identical in function to your current car.
Sell your current ride and put the money towards the new one. Use this money for something better.

HHhhmmmm... is she saying marry me and I'll get you the car, or is it, if you marry me we can combine our incomes and then you can have the car. These are 2 very different approaches. If it's the 1st one, run for the hills as she's trying to buy you. If the 2nd, then this is a logical mature and well thought out piece of logic-- she's a keeper then.
Good luck!

there has to be a giant catch to this ......... what if she buys you the car and stuff and after words sits down with you and has this giant secret she needs to tell you ??? its a WHAT IF ... but something seems a little sketchy :-(
Ypu just bought a house and have a newborn coming soon....
Cars should be at the bottom of the list. Wait til you see how expensive formula and diapers are and the house needs a major repair.....

+ 1 ^^^ i bought my house 3 years ago. just bought my G this yea , just had a new born 2.5 weeks ago and i have so many brand new parts in the garage and i don't even have time to put them on my car... i have been spending some hidden stash money still on my car but if i didnt have any of that money i would be so damn tight right now with cash :-) but im lucky i saved a lot of money :-)
Much more fun showing off your house than your car. They car becomes the equivalent of your fridge.
Hmmm....supercharger, or in ground swimming pool? I think I'll go pool.

That's what I would do.
