Front diff, rear diff and transfer case fluids

Hey guys

Im getting my front and rear diff and transfer case fluids changed tmrw, just wondering should these fluids be synthetic? My mechanic seems to think they are just conventional gear oils not synthetic gear oils.

I would go with Infiniti/Nissan fluid, if thats not available I would run Motul synthetic gear oil in the correct weight.

Thats what I changed over to when I had my STi, loved the stuff, the transmission just shifted way smoother after. The Subaru AWD system Im sure is way different, some people did a cocktail of different stuff so you might want to just look around a little more.

I am not sure about the Front diff or the transfer case, but use the search I am sure you can find out what many people are using.

For the Rear Diff, I and many people use AmsOil SVG

Amsoil Severe Gear is a great choice for the RWD diffs. Not sure about the X though.

I used mobil 1 synthetic diff fluid for the front and rear diff.

Transfer case is matic d, which I think is conventional aft. I used mobil 1 aft. Transfer case is def not gear fluid don't let him put that in.

I'm going to use Castrol Syntec 75W90 gear oil for the front and rear differential and Nissan Matic-D for the transfer case.

its the same diff.

just run what you want/ can get your hands on. I have mobil 1 in the front and rear. And redline d4 in the t-case.

next time around i'm going amsoil because i found a local place that stocks them for cheaper then what i paid for the M1 and redline.
