I have a Viper Alarm 5701. My two way remote has been acting up for about 3 weeks now. I've replaced the battery twice and have read the manual. I cannot find any reason on why after arming/disarming/remote starting my 2 way responds with an error. The function button lights along with the orange top light where it displays "Viper". The remove works and performs all functions, I just keep getting the annoying error tone. Would anyone have any insight?

You have done the right thing with replacing the battery, thats what the error report is supposed to tell you. You might have a bad remote. The error report that you are receiving should not have anything to do with the alarm 5701 itself. Find a 2 way replacement on ebay and get it programmed in.

Its not the first time I have seen that with the new system with the remotes acting up.
