I read on a BMW forum that the Infiniti G35 was going to get a performance boost. I am in the market for an AWD sedan. I currently have a 01 Prelude SH (Turbocharged Stage 3 330HP) that outhandles and outruns every BMW except for Newer M3's or M5's. I was considering a used 325XI, or G35x. My wife has an 04 330XI so 325xi is redundant. If I get an EVO or WRX STi, I am going to want to make it faster and spend thousands to make it a beast. I am expecting a kid soon and want to be a little more sedated of a driver. I like to show off my Prelude's speed and handling so I was looking for something more family oriented. Then I saw this lady drivig a G35X I did not even know they made them AWD. Anyway I am asking bimmers what they thought about the G35 many said its numbers were identical to the BMW 330 and that it felt faster because power delivery was raw while BMW delivers smooth but the 0-60 times are identical.

Now someone said his subaru dealer said G35x will be no more while bimmers say G35x will be faster and still raw in its delivery they refer to it the same way you refer to the Subaru as brutish in delivery and torque.
Getting back to the point should I wait and see if there is a power increase is the rumors true.

 

Only the 6mt will have 298hp. The x will have 280hp.
