Acceleration and A/T response?

its more of a IDIOT button. i'm sure about 80%+ of people on this board turn off VDC only to be a idiot trying to drift in snow/rain. I'm guilty of it as well. Everyday driving VDC on or off you will not see a difference.

^Guilty... I mean... Idiot as charged
But I really don't like the way the VDC handles mud. I know many shudder to think of a G having to deal with mud, but I live on a dirt road, and during hurricane season, it can get pretty bad.
The sometimes forward momentum is more important than not spinning, and it's necessary to spin the tires to some extent to make it through. A concept completely lost on the VDC.

You are right. Same with deep snow. When you are stuck, best solution is to turn vdc off and just spin yourself out with power.
It's not just the g, but any car with traction control is the same way. I jut learned a long time ago to turn it off if you get stuck in snow or mud.
However, once you get moving, I turn it back on.
With awd, there is no reason to turn it off. Lets face facts....I'm not gonna be doing any awd drifts with the car anytime soon. I drive like a grandma in the g35.

I am having a problem like what is being discuss, whenever I step on the accelerator I notice that RPM is moving a minimal pace. Yesterday, there was a person driving a Mercedes C300 4matic which slow as hell. Although he car possesses less HP than my G35x 2005, I notice his car accelerated must smoother and faster than my car. So my question is then since I've added the Motordyne 5/16 PS and Stillen Gen 2 exhaust and Mrev2 I've not gotten the car tune. Could that cause some kind of issue in which how the car reacts when i hit the pedal. Before the modification was made my car responding fluent. Any advice will be appreciated.

Hello to you all...i am going to try the battery thing when i get off of work
but i am having a similar problem as well....although mine only happens when im at a dead stop...i have a auto trans as well and when i give it gas to leave a red light
it seems as if i have a standard and the clutch is slipping but its not because i have a auto tranny.... kinda feels like the transmission isnt getting into first gear and starting in 2nd gear....... could this be sum type of old fluid causing the problem beings i have 170k on the car?..... she drives perfect once we get over 20mph...... although it does seem that my rpm is reving a lil higher.....70mph/4k rpm....
i hope im not jacking this thread with my post just seems as if im having a similar problem.....
PLEEEZ HELP!!!!!!!!!

Intense Geeez- check your transmission fluid level. I had a slow leak in the trans. of my '97 Max and one day I "lost" 4th gear lockup on my way to work. I was only 1 pint low. As soon as I added the required fluid the transmission was good as new.
I wonder if you're on the ragged edge for fluid level.
Also, I've found that to maximize acceleration while rolling, I don't mash the throttle unless in manuel mode. If I'm rolling in 5th I only press half way down so I only get one downshift then press it home.
