Power or manual seat? I'll assume power. Have you spilled any drinks in the car lately? The previous owner of my car spilled a soda into the pass power seat switches, so now they work very intermittently at best. The fact that your seat back will recline but not return makes me think it is a switch problem and not the motor.

I'm no electrical expert, but yes I think it's the switch. If the motor works in one direction, I don't think it's bad, but I could be wrong. Get a can of electronic cleaner and spray down into the switch while working it back and forth and pressing it pretty hard. Maybe it's a contact issue. It helped mine a little, but it's so sticky I'm going to have to take the switches apart when I have time.

its the switch. back then I had to toggle the switch back and forth until the seat moved up.

after awhile I found little tricks that made my seat go back up... I suggest the same for you.

this heat wave we are having is screwing with my electrical... Yesterday my Auto Up for my drivers window wouldnt go up by its self, but when it cooled off, it worked flawlessly. My stereo screen has been on the frits sine the Riverside Meet... I dont know!
