the washer fluid wires... is it that unplug wire harness in the 7th photo..? this wire needs to be extended... is it dificult to extend this wire.. very interested before i attempt this over the weekend.. also .. how long did it take you to complete?

well being that i had no clue as to what i was doing since there was not already a DIY. it took me roughly 2 hours to do the passenger side with about 10 smoke breaks.

and then the drivers side took me about an hour with smoke breaks

Ok so this is doable in just one day then .. Great .. Still need clarification on that washer fluid wire that you sai needs to be extended ..

kennymo Oct 13, 2010 09:06 PM

from what i could see when i did it. it looked like it needed to be extended. i could be wrong.

even if it does need to be. just snip, crimp, tape and plug it in.

I also had to extend mine but I also didn't remove all the wires from the loom. Possibly doing that and relooming will give you more length....?

when you extended your wires... were there multiple wires that needed to be extended... could you fill me in on the amount of wires so i can buy enough extention wire to do this..also what kind of gauge wire is needed?

kennymo Oct 14, 2010 07:13 PM

its 2 wires. and they would only need to be extended maybe a foot each. id say get 12 or 14 gauge

Buddi Oct 15, 2010 08:35 AM

Hey Kenny I'm probably going to take out the windshield reservoir too but with the wires being unplugged, will that give you lights in the dash?

kennymo Oct 16, 2010 09:42 PM

no theres no lights in the dash that pop up.

You dont have to remove the whole tank. The part that you see is just a filler funnel. It pulls straight out of the tank and you can just cap off the tank below with some duct tape.
