Upgrading to 18" 350z v1 track wheels, have tire questions

I just picked up a set of these:

Size: 18x8.0
Offset: +30mm

Rear
Size: 18x8.5
Offset: +33mm
Weight: 18.62lbs


I was wanting these wheels for a few reasons, primarily because of their light weight (and they look decent IMO), and they are large enough [but not too large] to clear the upgraded larger '06+ sedan's larger brake calipers/rotors.

Ideally, I was looking for a lightweight 18" NON-staggered wheels (as I'm not crazy about the staggered wheels going through tires more quickly.

Anyway, I was wanting to know:

1) Can I run the same size tires on ALL FOUR wheels?
2) If yes to #1, what would be the widest size tire I could run on all 4
3) Will I need spacers or anything for proper fit?
FWIW, these stock wheels have OEM tire size of 225/45/18 F, and 245/45/18 R.

I was thinking maybe split the difference and run 235/45/18's on all 4?

I like the flexibility of being able to rotate all 4 wheels.

Any help is appreciated.

You can run 245/45/18 all around.

What about spacers? Will I need anything or just throw 'em on and go?

no spacers, plug and play.

for all around tire size, I'd take gdup's advice and go with 245/45.

245/45/18 all around are okay for 99% of the time. If you're low and fenders not rolled, it may rub on hard turns, but nothing to call the president about.

btw I'm one of the OG's with this set of wheels, I miss mine

Sounds good. I'm researching tires right now.
I've had a set of Sumitomo HTR Z III's, and liked them...great grip, decent ride. I didn't have them long enough to attest to longevity.

I'm now looking at these:

These also seem to boast a great blend of grip, tread life, and ride quality.

Any feedback from G members on these?

For looks Aesthetics I would recommend a 5-10mm spacer to make them sit more flush with the fender and not sunken in. Also I would recommend that you sell two of the wheels and pick up a pair that are the same width (all four 8" or 8.5") if you plan to rotate them. Ive not sure that I would want to run a wider wheel up front than in back. I know it's only 1/2 an inch, but I personally would sell the two fronts and find two more rear wheels.

I just bought the dws version of that tire today...install tomorrow.

Of course, my needs are different, but most of the things I read about the dw and dws have been good.

I have the DWS and it rides great, I have mine over inflated because of some minor tirewall rub, and Have mine to 38psi all around, They stop amazing, and im talking the all season version. the DW should be better. Cheap great tire.

If it were me, I'd run 225/45R18 in the front and 245/40R18 out back. The HTRZIIIs in these sizes are 25.9" tall which is very close to the OEM diameter of 26.2". A 245/45 is slightly taller than stock and won't look very sporting.

It's been my experience that once you go to wider than OEM tires and wheels, especially if you lowered, your car will start exhibiting front tire feathering to a degree. IMO, it's better just to cross rotate the tires and replace the fronts more reguraly. This is the setup on going with next. Right now I have summer 235/45R18 Pzero Neros all around on my 18X8 rims.

If you are buying the wheels for their light weight, then try to pick a tire that isn't too heavy either. ie.. a michelin pilot sport is pretty light but a bridestone RE050 are pretty heavy. So heavy that it almost negates having a light wheel

I have coupe chrome 7 spoke 18x8. Two months ago I purchased Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports in 245 45 18 and I love them so far. Rated #1 in it's class of over forty tires and very quiet which is very important to me since the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 directionals I had on were VERY noisy and got worse as the tire wore down.

Go to the tire board here and ask Neal from Tirerack about tires. I got mine from him.

I say get all 8.5 and go with 265's all round. That is what i would do, but I only have 265's on the back.

Don't. Tire selection in that size is very poor. I considered this size for my Coupe 18's, but didn't feel like spending a ton on the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, which was the only decent tire in that size. I went with 245/45's all around and have been very happy with that size, for looks and for grip.

I have those same tires and have been very happy with them. They're very quiet, have good grip, look good, and after 2 summers and about 17K miles, they have lots of tread left on them. Excellent summer tire, even if they're a little on the heavy side.

will not fit front... I've tried to mount my 265/40 on but no go. Unless you work with a spacer and camber i dont think it will happen but really 265 is OVERKILL. I think the average HP on this entire board is like 300whp or less. 245 is more then enough for the fronts.

And i do have a set of NON-stag track wheels all 18x8.5 =D
