Too many varibles other than the engine to accurately compare. One would have to put each motor on an engin dyno to compare the two

What variables would there be? I mean obviously if its a 6 speed the driver. I mean just a simple video of the difference.

There will be a more noticable difference between drivers than there would between cars.

For a sedan to sedan comparison, the HR-equipped G will be about .4 and 3mph faster. The HR makes a lot more power, but some of it's advantage is negated by the significant weight gain between generations. My rwd 5AT 03 sedan weighs about 3,330lbs (confirmed on a scale). My friend's 08 G35 6MT weighed in at a whopping 3,625lbs. The best I've run is lower 14.3s at almost 100mph with a 2.1 60' in near sea level conditions. I haven't been to the strip in years. His best is a 13.9s@102.5mph with a 2.1 60' in near sea level conditions. He's a decent driver and lots of HR sedans have gone quicker, but our track isn't terribly quick and his times are about average. His 6MT made 260whp. I don't know what my car makes.

Weight, tire size, tranny ratios (HR = 7sp auto vs VQ auto 5sp), rear diff ratios (some HRs have 3.7 gears).

etc

etc

etc

We have completely different ideas on what ALOT more power is.

298 hp -> 306 hp
260 tq -> 268 tq

Basically you will notice almost no difference.

You'll definitely notice the difference. You have to remember the motors were rated under different SAE ratings. The 298hp VQ35 Revup only makes about 240whp. The VQ35HR makes 260whp. the biggest difference when you consider the VQ35HRs powerband is quite a bit wider can makes strong power from 5200 to 7300rpms where as the VQ35s only have a powerband from 4500-6300rpms.

Ive owned both... trust me, you do not notice a difference at all. Also the G37 is heavier. You do not notice the small 20 hp gain with the extra weight.

And how do you consider the power band "quite a bit wider"?
7300-5200 = 2100
6300-4500 = 1800

Ok. Back in September 2002, Motor Trend went 14.6@97mph in the 260hp 03 5AT sedan. Fast forward to Motor Trend's recent test of the 2010 G37 sedan 7AT. 13.5@105mph Huge difference. HUGE. Granted this is the VQ37HR, the VQ35HR is about .2 seconds slower.

Sounds the coupe needed a driver mod or you've got some decent mods to your revup. The G37 coupe weighs about 150lbs more than the sedan in that generation which explains why they tend to be about .2 and 1.5mph slower than the sedans. However, the G37 coupe (13.8s@103mph) is still quite a bit quicker than the 03-06 sedans (14.1@100mph). Also, the Revups are hardly any faster than the 260hp-280hp VQ35DEs. The Revup has more hp, but less torque. In a 1/4 mile race, it's basically a wash.
