I want to replace my rusty rear brake rotors and calipers. They are ugly and quite visible thru the open style rims. Any recommendations for an '05 g35X?
I just want basic OEM type parts, but that will be more corrosion resistant than original, and can stay clean even after road salt dousings. Don't need slotted or drilled rotors or extra performance.
While I am at it, i will replace the rear pads even though they still have some life left. Again, dont need track or ultra performance - OEM stopping quality is ok, but want VERY QUIET brakes as top priority. Since these are rear brakes, dusting and pad life is not as important.
Suggestions for makes and models and where to buy?

I replaced mine with oem....but before install, I cleaned, masked and painted the non-swept areas. I'll have to dig a pic upmlater, but it came out very good

^^^please do so. Also what paint did you use? I hate seeing the rusty part of the rotors. Any info is much appreciated.

That's pretty much it.
What I did, was either use new rotors, or wire brush the he'll out of the rotors to clean the surface rust off. I took them off the car obviously. Sprayed them down with brake cleaner. I then use electrical tape to mask the pad swept area off. Sprayed a couple coats and let dry.
For the calipers, I took the caliper off, pulled the pads and clips out and sprayed with brake cleaner. I painted the intermediate bracket off the car, and then hung and painted the caliper on the well. I used track bags to mask everything off first. Let dry and then reassembly.
Pretty easy to do and if you prep well it lasts.
