I mostly travel in the city. I'd say a good 65% of the time. Additionally I drive on the aggressive side. the engine is constantly in the 3500-5400 RPM side.

8 days is sometimes an understatement.

But I was NOT surprised to see how my engine internals were when I rebuilt the heads. (due to a cooling problem)

I run Mobil1 10-30. Mobil1 or Bosch oil filter.
Cool, I would get the little test done on the oil to see how its doing. You might be able to run for longer and save some cash. Or find another oil that works better for you.

Check this chart out

SS, I change it every 3000 miles to be on the safe side, since driving style for me sometimes varies. And most shops recommend it change by then, so thats what I've always done with all the vehicle I've driven, even when I started changing it myself.

And the last time I changed it was after my move here to Texas, and I took it to a shop since I didn't have the tools and resources to change it myself at the time, which they had pennzoil 5w-30. But I usually use mobil1 5w-30, prob go back to that when 3000 miles starts rolling around lol.

^ I suggest you get it tested too. But M1 is not so good, so I guess 3k is alright for it.

^Really? I mean mobil1 has been around for a while so I figure it'd be good. I've heard some good things about royal purple, just hard to find sometimes though lol

Ohh gotcha. Didn't even look at the chart lol

Looks like castrol syntec would be the best choice then based on the chart for 5w-30. I'll keep that in mind the next change.

Thanks for the info man
