oem rotors or aftermarket?
How have you tested the braking performance? I'm sure they stop the car, but I need some better data
I'd buy them if I knew they improved feel and performance. But until someone posts up some data like improved auto-x and lap times because of upgraded rotors, I'll probably stay with blank rotors. My Centric cyro-treated rotors are toast after 25K miles, but that did include a handful of auto-x events.

here is a set of Slotted EBC rotors for $164
I think I found a 20% off coupon when I bought mine

Rotors won't help with stopping power, the oem brakes are already the best for that. However, slotted/drilled rotors will help with repeated stopping to help dissipate heat such as on the track. If you just drive on the street they won't help your performance.
Aside from my coupe we have them on all our car ... My parents - 07 audi A6 quattro , 07 acura tsx and 08 honda pilot exl (drilled and slotted) and of course my 03 coupe... The main reason we have them on all the cars is mainly there suppose to last longer, not heat up and there cheaper then OEM ( the place we get them from ) ... Other then that honestly no other reason
I have those too, drilled and slotted. Just fyi R1's rotors are centric and sold by R1..

i just bought some drilled/slotted rotors of ebay fr/rear and they fell like oem at the moment but havent had the chance to really test them out on a run, and yes my driving style requires me to have drilled/slotted rotors i even have a video of my brakes just giving out and smoke billowing from the front wheels on stock rotors and pads
this is what i am thinking of getting.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...Q5fAccessories

Slotted maybe. Drilled won't do anything.
Drilled rotors are for aggressive race compound pads which expel gases as a byproduct. The gas needs somewhere to go, the the drilled holes are necessary for this function. This is why exotic cars use drilled rotors. Their pad compounds require it.
Street car pads do not expel gases, so the drilled holes do nothing. They are perpendicular to the main airflow stream anyway, so no air can possibly travel through the holes.
Slotted rotors do help with allowing brake dust to be wiped away effectively. There is some argument they do help.
Best way to cool a rotor is mass. The more mass, the more heat is spread out evenly across the rotor and cooled by airflow. When you reduce the rotor mass drilling or slotting, you can increase heat and fade.
Any of the serious road racers I know ( who build gutted out cars specifically for road racing competition) use only plain blank rotors and don't fall into that "drilled are for cooling" myth with brakes. Their idea of cooling brakes is a massive rotor and brake ducts pointing air right onto the face.

And I bought them just for looks. I don't expect any sort of performance upgrade.
I have a 06 sedan, and I have EBC slotted rotors and hawk HPS street pads, i noticed a big difference in stopping over oem. The only noise i hear from them are when my car has been sitting overnight. other than that no noise.
