How good are our transmissions?
I had a Honda , ppl were always saying how reliable they were aand all that shyt and my tranny went on me after i changed the fluid , needless to say i am fearful of transmissions now.
I bought the car with 66k on it it now has 68k. And im not sure about the previous owner maintenance and the stealership isnt really being forthcoming about it . my gut tells me to change the fluid but from my previous experiences Im goin thru the Phenomenon of bitchassness cus of this !!!

Can you guys give me some good advice ?

 

Should have no trouble with a routine drain/refill with Nissan Matic S.

I've heard stories about transmissions on all kinds of cars breaking shortly after a flush though.

 

fyi, transmissions are covered by a 6yr/70k miles powertrain warranty... I would change the fluid quick and then you would have 2k miles on new fluids if something were to happen

 

Just do a drain/fill. Don't do a flush.

I've heard stories of trans taking a crap after a flush...but this was with 100+ K miles


I did a drain/fill on my trans @ 63K miles for the first time. I have 68K now...no probs
