Angry First no acceleration, now no start. ECU reset did not help!

Hey guys, hoping someone can shed some light onto this for me...

This morning in Toronto we took a cold dip into the minus temperatures...Im not sure if that has something to do with this.

I started my car fine this morning, I started driving and I could not accelerate more than 5mi/hr maybe. A malfunction showed up on my navigation system.

I pulled back into my driveway, turned the car off...Tried to restart and nothing.

Had AAA come by, check and test the battery it is fine. I tried the ECU reset and it did not work. I checked my oil and it was significantly low, filled it up.

Disconnected the battery for an hour-nothing.

The malfunction does not appear when I try to start it. But the CEL and service soon are both on. The engine will not crank at all.

Any ideas what this could be or how I could resolve it? Even getting the car started to drive it to the dealership would be helpful.

maybe your valve in the throttle body is stuck.

This might be a dumb question, but dont most cars in canada have engine block heaters due to the weather getting so cold? if so, did you have yours on? because of the minus temperatures and an extremely cold motor suddenly moving, things can definitly go wrong.

Edit: what is the code that came up, what did the malfuntion message say?

OP the hatched area on the dipstick is 1 quart. If it went lower then that then yea it was really low on oil

Updated!!

So I am still not sure what is going on...I disconnected the battery and let it sit overnight, reconnected and still nothing. I have never used the block heater, but really it was maybe minus 3 over night. I dont think that is low enough to warrent using the block heater do you?

I have never used it before, and I have had the car for about 4 years.

I dont know what "malfunction" code came up on the nav screen. It has not returned, but I cant start the car.

However when I turn the key to try to start the car the following lights are on.

Check Engine Light
Check AT light
Oil Light

I am going to borrow my brothers OBD II code reader after class today and try to get the error codes out of it.

Take a hair dryer and heat up your throttle body and see if that does anything.

If I correctly understand what you have written I would be looking at starter motor, starter lockout switch on the transmission, cables to the starter, etc.

Thumbs down Error codes G35

So here are the error codes:

U1000
U1001

Both showed up twice, I tried a clear of the codes but it only cleared one.

Anyone deal with these before or have suggestions?

When you go to crank it, turn the lights on, do they dim at all? 2nd open the hood and listen while someone else cranks is starter, do you hear a click at all?

Lights dont dim when I crank it, even with highbeams on.

I do hear a click, but that is about it.
