To answer some of your questions it says it lasts 5-6 years.. It has a clear protective film on it that protects from the UV and such and says gives it that kinda painted look so it doesnt look like vinyl so much.

Also www.fellers.com Worlds largest wrap supply company..

Also I looked into some companies that do this in vegas and they warranty for 5 years.. So IMO even having the shop do it for 1200-1500 is worth it IMO..

I was thinking about ordering a piece just for the hood and try it out and just do one panel at a time as time goes by..

The youtube videos of people wrapping this stuff they make it look like cake! They wrap a hood in a 5 minute youtube video lol. I hate when that happens it looks SUPER easy but in reality its not.

I think I may take the plunge and order a big piece for the hood in Matte black or some other color and try out the hood soon.

I have their catalog in front of me and this is what it says

"High Gloss colors with built in protective clear coat layer to simulate the appearance of factory applied paint."

Also says clean removability for up to 4 years.

I just called a local shop in vegas who does wrapping and they say they wont do Matte black because he kind of explained that when your heating it up to set it in place it will actually make some areas turn out shiny.. IDK.. idk if this guy knew what he was talking about or what..

He said go get a $500-$600 dollar paint job at maco for matte black. He did say he can do any other color tho for $1200 that includes vinyl and labor

yeah... $1,200 vinyl job that can be removed when you sell the car... OR a $500-600 paint job that will totally kill the value of the car, with over spray that will never come off... Seems like a good idea to me.

What IF I get it wrapped to look something like this.

That orange and I would do the roof black and not the hood because I dont think that would look good on the G... Instead of paint just vinyl.

Black is a pain in the *** especially with how soft our paint is swirls and scratches. Matte white would look clean..

This why it often costs 3-4 grand or more, when it's done right.
