awful wheel question?

I just bought an 05 g35 sedan with the stock 17 rims with 225/55/17 on them. I have a scion as well with 17's same number of bolts with tires 215/45/17. The rims look a lot nicer and I am sure it is blasphemy to be even thinking about this, but would they work on my g?

Thanks,
Matt

side note: they would only be a temporary thing until I can afford some 19's!

Even if the bolt pattern was the same, those wheels/tires would look really funny bacause they are too small.

It is really easy. Jack up both cars, take one rim off each, place the removed tc rim on the G and then you will know.

You'll need to measure the hubs as well. You don't want the full load of the wheel on the lugs, you want the axle hub to just fit inside the center hub of the rim so that the force is riding on that.

Just having the lugs bolt up isnt always safe.

They do sell hub adapters

Why?

It sounds like it was a bad idea all the way around. I will take a look at it tomorrow. Thanks for all the input!

No, they will not fit.
Wrong lug pattern.

And yes, it was an awful wheel question.
I can't believe nobody had answered you yet.

I was just poking a little fun. And I did provide you with accurate information answering your question.
But if you wanna go get butthurt like oh-so-many n00bs that have come before you, then be my guest.

Oh ok. Nevermind then.
The "Forget I ever asked!" bit confused me. Sounded like you were pissed.
