Find it funny how people blame the car for the cause. He's going 130...seriously.

Sad for the car, glad no innocent people were hurt.

And he owns an R1 . If you think 130 in a sedan is acceptable I would hate to be near you when you are on your bike. I ride as well and it is very easy to speed on the highway, very easy. I hope you have learned your lesson and are smart enough to not try that on your bike.

If you wanted to see what your car could do, I'd suggest doing it on a closed course, or even a smooth flat surface in that matter......with no hills. I've gone faster with no problem.

The 05-06 brakes are really good btw, saved me from rear ending some retards on the highway that brake suddenly for no reason.

All in all, glad to hear your okay and walked away not uninjured.

No, I have no desire to kill myself doing 160mph on a public highway. I'm smart enough to know that the margin of error decreases as speed increases. I enjoy my life the way it is, I've seen and read enough stories of foolish idiots that think **** won't happen to them.

I see. I don't mean any harm and just all honesty, that sucks that you haven't... Don't you have the urge or just want to feel how fast you can go? I understand you're all about safety but you haven't even gone to a closed sourse to do it.

Do you ride canyons? If so, don't you go fast for the ride, the fun, and the thrill of owning a bike?

Your "thrill" caused you to jump a hill at 130 and crash your car into oncoming traffic that could've resulted into a tragedy for you and other commuters. Sadly, people that share your same views end up as a statistic and screw it up for others that practice safety!

. No not really. I have not had any training or schooling on handling a bike at those speeds, I've only been riding just shy of 6 years. I like feeling the acceleration, not speed. A lot of the roads I ride (aside from commuting and casual rides) are twisty and not canyons. I enjoy being on the bike and the freedom it gives? Just because my bike is capable of 160mph that doesn't mean I need to prove it to myself or anyone else. You got your thing, I got mine. Bottom line is to be safe.

I think most of you are getting the wrong impression when I say hill, I'll try to take a video or a picture to explain it more. Nonetheless I understand what everyones saying.
