It sounds like the door lock actuator on the passenger door needs to be replaced. Here is a DIY thread for the actuator fix:

a couple ideas...
1. If the passenger door unlocks electronically using the key fob, or two presses of the driver's side black button, or from the rocker switch on the driver's armrest, then you know the actuator is good.
2. The intelligent key needs to be within about 3 ft of the button you are pressing. There is a small antennae behind each of the two front door handles (plus a couple for the trunk and more inside the passenger compartment). When you press the black button it looks for the fob near that button via radio frequency. It's supposed to unlock that door first and all the doors with a second press.
3. If the intelligent key is within range and that door button doesn't do anything then it's likely a bad button, bad antennae in that door, or a wiring problem. At that point diagnosing might be easiest using the dealer's "Consult-II" rig...
Good luck
