Looking at a used 05 X

I'm currently looking into picking up an 05 G35x. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to look out for when buying a used X?

I agree, you can get the VIN number and ask a local dealer for a maintenance history. You can also request to take the car into a dealer for an inspection. It might cost you $200, but it could be worth it.

I have an '05 G35x with over 130,000 miles. I have had no major issues. I have only replaced wear items like: tires, brakes, drive belts and replaced all oils/fluids with synthetics.

You can probably find a general inspection list for use when purchasing a four wheel drive somewhere online. There is no specific area you need to focus on with the G35x.

Yes, your compression rods will probably squeek. But that is a special feature of the G35 so you don't sneak up on unsuspecting BMWs.

Good Luck
