Oil level

Hey guys...I have an 05 G35 sedan, was just wondering where all of you like to keep your oil level at on the dipstick...mine is usually just below the H mark. But just checked it and it's right in the middle between the H and L marks. Should I top it off?

Mine is always at the H or full line unless I have Nissan change it for me, they never put all five quarts in. My opinion, keep it full but that's just my automotive OCD....

Mine is right smack middle. I'll fill it when it approaches L but so far it hasn't moved and my next oil change is due next week.

According to the FSM, it should be right between the L and H.

Cool, thats where it's at...i'm pretty picky with keeping my fluids up to snuff. This winter I have noticed that my engine sounds a little loud on cold start ups ( minus 25 Celcius or so) so I thought I would ask about oil level...im running 5w 30 full synthetic.

A fresh oil change with 5 qt puts it right at the H.
Maxima filter puts it just a touch under.

Trick with the G is, it has to sit for at least a half hr without running to get an accurate read.
