rearview mirror

I looked all through the threads but didn't find anything about this. Not sure why any infiniti would have a regular mirror but I would love to replace it with a oem auto dimming mirror. i seen that the hole is there to install. Anyone know how to do this?

I agree. When I bought my used 2004, I didn't even realize that it had a manual flip to dim the mirror. You'd think a luxury/sports car like the G35, even with the BASE package, would at least have an automatic dimming mirror. Stuff like auto dimming rear-view mirrors, rear ac/heat vents, and dual auto climate control are typically standard on most Lexus and Acura models. My '06 Acura TL has all the above features plus a few more that the G35 does not. And, the TL was approx $3k-4k cheaper. However, the TL's "Elliot Scheindler" sound system is one of the WORST upper scale oem stereo's I've ever heard. The DVD Audio thing flunked and nobody went for it. My base leather G35 stock system sounds ten times as good as the TL. Every car has it's pluses and minuses I guess.

I forgot to mention that the G35 is a HECK of a lot more fun to drive than the TL. That comparison isn't even close!

I would sooner replace the auto-dim mirror with a manual dim that actually does the job well.
