Spring Advice?

Hey G35 Gys and gals,

So i Finally got my 19" Oem Rays on my 03 Sedan and im sitting sock.
Im not looking for a slammed look but more or a rake look.
I have 2 options,
1# stock 05 g35 coupe front and rear springs
or
2# tein S

also im running 225/40/19" all around but the backs look funny
thinking of getting a fatter back tire
any recommondations?
Thanks again!

Well how much of a drop are you looking for?
The OEM coupe springs will drop you .5" all around and the H-techs are 2"f and 1.3"r I believe. If you go with the H-tech you will probably want to get some camber arms (+toe for the rear).

Why only those two options? What about a G/Z set-up that will give you the raked look? Or Tanabe springs?

With pretty much any drop with the 19's your gonna need some fender work done....

https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-...w-updates.html

you'll find everything you need to know in the suspension section as well

4D the drop you mentioned pertains to the S Techs, not the H Techs.

OP here's a pic of my car in a previous set up dropped on S Techs on coupe 19s. I was also running 245/40 all around.

I have a raked setup on my car.. i went with 350z tein htechs up front for a 1.3 drop and stock 350z rears for a 1" drop..
I like it, but I am still on stock 17's

It is a bit of a hassle going with 2 different types of springs, but in the end, I only spend $200 on both sets ($160 for the teins on ebay, and $40 for the z springs on ebay)

I will see if I can dig up a pic

I'm actually looking to do the same thing but i was gonna try s-tech's up front but i was thinking that may drop it to low lol. Right now i'm just full z all the way around and i need to even out the drop big time. I hear the H-techs are stiffer

the h techs arent much stiffer in the front and softer in the rear
z springs are 314lb F 427lb R
vs 350z teins 358lb F 375lb R

I ran the teins all the way around for a while, and it rides better than having the z springs in the rear, but with an even drop the car doesnt look as good to me..
it makes the back look lower due to the way the fenders are

I will take a pic and post it tonight when I get home from work.. I didnt have any here

on your 17's are you 225-50 up front? Try and shoot me a pic of your front wheel gap if you can man. *edit...will stay tuned in for pic, are you on stock suspension? Or Z?

I took a pic tonight, unfortunatley I was fairly deep into a bottle of tequilla before I remembered to do it, so it is just a quick snapshot in my driveway

to rehash, this is my car today with 350z revised rear springs and tein 350 z htech fronts sitting on stock 17's with 225/50r17 michelin tires and stock sport suspension struts

it is definately not slammed.. but I am older and just wanted it to look more sporty, without looking like "street racer X", not to mention that I bottom out plenty as it is

it is fairly late in the day so it is hard to get an idea of the gap.. I have 2 full fingers in the rear and a tight 2 fingers in the front.. my fender height is ~25 3/4" in the front and 26" in the rear
if you really want a closeup of the gap, I will take one

this is from last week with the teins all the way around.. it is only a small differance (like less than 1/4")
it looks good in this pic, but in real life I like the back higher
with the teins I had less gap in the rear than in the front

I see, you must be on your stock shocks and struts?

worn out stock red sport struts..

I have been wanting to change them for a while, but I wanted to get my stance right first, in case I HAD to have coilovers

I think I am happy where it is at - I would like it lower, but even the small change with the tein rear springs makes my bottoming out much worse (when I go to work, even at an angle I have to go slow and just drag the exhaust), so I will probably just leave it and order the cheap tokico blues now, probably the shorter ones for the 350
