Whats it made out? I dunno.. My guess would be nothing special... what are normal body kits made of? ... come painted? Nope.... how much? $2395 + shipping which is around 200.. plus tax I think.. $2595.00 is the total charge on my credit card just to get it here.. not including painting and install.. and for them to reinforce the rear bumper since it only meets JP requirements..

Pesti > How can you purchase a bodykit without knowing what it's made of? My guess is fiberglass, but that stuff cracks like a biatch if you hit curbs or what not. They also chip when lil rocks on the road hit it and looks real bad when you have a lot of them. For that price, I would hope it's made of urethane because that stuff is much stronger and its more bendable with flex even if you hit something hard. Urethane won't crack as easily. That should have been the most important question, but whatever, as long as you like it. Thanks for the info. and lemme know what it is made of when you get the kit.

:/ I just called and they said its made of FiberGlass... thats a bad thing... but oh well.. Im guessing urithane kits wont be made for the G for atleast another 6-9 months.. :/ Im still happy about the kit.. im not expecting to hit it anywhere... so im hoping it wont get damaged..

wow, there sure is alotta action in this thread. pesti - regarding urethane kits. you're probably not going to see a urethane kit for the g35 anytime soon. urethane body parts are generally more expensive than their urethane counterparts. the reason behind it is that they are harder to make (something about original molds warping over time) if you were to find a manufacturer that makes a quailty kit, you can almost guarantee that it's gonna be mucho dinero

 

Also fiberglass is a lot easier to work with to create the shape and designs needed. Elisha's pictures were either taken from MAXIM or FHM magazines. [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Cool -- Do you guys really think there is alot of risk in reguards to cracking the bodykit if I dont hit anything with it? i.e. curbs and parking thinggies?? im pretty sure i wont scrape it.. atleast not the front bumper..

If you don't hit it, it should be fine. Plus, if you do crack it, fiberglass can be repaired with a kit, sanded, and painted fairly easily. (Okay, maybe the painting part isn't easy for the do-it-yourselfer...)
