I know this is an old thread but a word of advise now that our cars are even older. If you remove pinstripes, you'll probably have some ghosting where the pinstripes were. And some dealers paint them on so you have to use a pretty aggressive compound to remove them. I had to use Optimum Compound II (which will remove 1000 grit sanding marks with a DA polisher) and Car Pro denim orange peel pads to remove the ones on mine.
