Rustt! Help!

Rustt! Help!

so basically after this winter passed, i noticed a few rust spots on the roof, they are tiny but still noticeable, how would i get rid of it or at least prevent it?

i hate winter.

if the roof is rusting the only way to get rid of it is to sand the paint down to the metal, sand all the rust off of the metal and reprime and repaint it

you can go to the auto store and buy some stuff that turns it black and suppsedly stops it, but I dont know that it works.. I doubt it

infiniti did extend the rust warranty to 10yrs do to several people having rusty doors.. it may apply to the roof as well.. it would be worth looking into - maybe you will get a free paint job out of it

Infiniti rust warranty is complete garbage. I got rust all over my doors. They wont do anything about it unless the rust puts a hole through the door. Geez talk about preventative maintenance.

How big are the spots? Sure it's not just rail dust? You could try a claybar....

pretty sure it's rust, i know a body shop guy so gonna get it fixed up, don't think im going to be taking the car out in winter anymore though.
