04 350z y-pipe on 06 sedan

Will this have any benefit? sound change? i found a seller for 30 bucks obo apparently in good condition. is it worth it?

The 03-06 sedans use the VQ35DE engine. The 04 350z's also use the VQ35DE engine, which means they use the DE y pipe, so it will do nothing. The y pipe that you want is HR y pipe. The newer (07+) 350z's use the VQ35HR. Another option is the y pipe from the G37s. Any 350z y pipe from before 2007 will do nothing
