Unhappy Cruise Control

Ive searched all over and cant find anything. Theres other threads on this but nothing like mine. First I have a 05 G35x sedan. Ill be driving with the CC on and randomly it shuts off (the set light goes off not the entire CC). I tried to diagnose it myself and I thought it was bc of me hitting a big bump (theres a lot of these in N IL). But it did again last night and Im just tired of it happening even though it does only happen every now and then. Trying to avoid taking it to the dealer. Any knowledge or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

car slowing down at all, brake getting touched?

Only time I had the CC turn off is when I hit a puddle in a 55, it slowed me enough to make it turn off.

Yes the car slows down just like it would if u were to lift off the gas. Also when self diagnosing I thought I just hit the brake or cancel button. But I know for sure that didn't happen last night. It was raining last night so that might have been the case. Thanks for your input so far.

How frequent is it? Does it only happen when you're hitting the large bumps?

I was talking to my brother and he had some issues with his cruise control in his 06 Murano Sl.He has a full warranty on it till 120k and it turned out to be the controls in his steering wheel which were replaced under warranty. I just wanted to throw it out there and let you know. I will talk to him more on detail but he said he was not able to set his cruise control if i recall correctly.

More self diagnosing. Was just driving to work on the highway. Felt my car feel like it tapped the brakes for a half a second. And then 2 seconds later it just shuts off the set button.
