wrecked car dealer/car fax never indicated....
Went to a dealer to do a possible trade in but apon inspection they noticed the car has been wrecked. The place I bought the car never indicated to me its been in a wreck nor did the car fax. Is there anything I can do from here since dealer never disclosed this information, far as legal?
Yes, first call the dealer to confront him about that and if he says it was in a accident n he forgot to mention it then it is his fault .. either go return it and get your money back or tell him to give you a better car with a better deal. If he denies that the car has not been in a accident then i would report it to the DMV and tell them your situation and then they would tell you what to do from there.
1. Which car are you talking about that was wrecked;the one you want to trade in or the one you are going to buy from the dealer?

Carfax is a joke. Titles and reports of damage can get washed as cars get sold at auction in other states. Some shops don't report all repairs to damage report databases/agenicies. Some states don't require reporting and some do. It's quite possible the car was trade and the damage didn't show up in the Carfax. Carfax ONLY reports what shows up in their searches databasing. Proving that the dealership guilty of fraud would be terribly hard and expensive.
There is NO replacement for getting a car inspected by a body shop prior to purchase. Many of the used cars at dealership have been bought at auction. Many of them have had damage which is repaired at thier own shops at cost. They can make a healthly amount on a wrecked car bought at auction for 60% of typcial value. About the only safe place to buy a used car is Carmax. You usually pay a little more for the peace of mind though.

OP PM me your VIN and I will hook you up with a Autocheck and see if it pops up on there. Usually they both are very similar and this guy might have fixed it private party.

so by the report I now at the auction it was reported as unibody damaged, so from this the dealer knew the car had been wrecked just didn't relay that important information to me. So do I have a legitimate arguement? To possibly get my money back and give them there car back?
I just forwarded you the Autocheck and the Frame Damage popped up on the report. How long has it been since you purchased the vehicle. Also look into Carfax Buy back guarantee. Did your carfax report show up as clean and during the same time did autocheck show it as dirty. When did you purchase the car and are you having any issues with alignment or such
The car was purchased in 10/11/10. Carfax showed clean report, the infiniti dealer I was at also said it showed clean title. the alignment is fine, but I always wondered on the driver side of the trunk would not aligned with the body lines. The dealer showed me were the car was damaged and repainted.
i dont think you can do much, hole in the wall places rely on carfax as a means for benefit, they know carfax sucks donkey *****.. so they give you the info based on what carfax has on their database. Goodluck man
