Hey everyone. I found an 05 g35 (auto) for $15 grand that I am itching to buy. This will be my first g35, but I am no stranger to the car. I have a 98 maxima right now (VQ power baby!), that is nearing the end of it's life...and my mom had an 04 g35 coupe manual that I would drive from time to time.

The car has 60k miles on it, an auto (i want a stick, but they aren't very fun in city traffic). This car will also be another first for me, my first car note. I checked the car fax...it's been in no accidents, and had 2 previous owners. The dealer put about 2 grand in work into it, which I find interesting to say the least. One because I'm glad that some work was done on it, but I'm also a little worried about what kind of work was done to it.

Just curious what else I should look for before I commit to buying it. The car looks, flawless inside and out, and drives like a dream. Just thought I'd ask the board what they thought.

Thanx, everyone in advance.

Sometime the night life on driver is a little slow. Test dive it! Check underneath the car for leaks. Welcome to the G community. post pix after you buy it.

Look at my thread to look at common suspension parts that tend to wear out on G35 like Compression rod bushing and Lower control arm. Make sure the radio/ac works after using it a bunch, Same with all windows rolling up and down. Forward me the Vin and i can run an Autocheck which is much more accurate.

Exactly what work did they do?

Carfax is NOT the end all to vehicle damage reports. Lots of wrecked cars escape the Carfax reports. You really should take the car to a body shop and have them look it over for damage/repairs.

That's a fair price, you can probably get 1 or 2 more grand off of that price.

Lol, I love the coupes, but I need a little more room in my car.

If I had the money to have 2 cars again, the g coupe would definitely be an option.

What was the final price you negotiated to and what work was done on the vehicle for $2,000.

Welcome and get acquainted with the search button

$15,500

The airbag sensor malfunctioned, so they replaced the airbag...I know, that doesn't exactly sound kosher...and brakes.

Which squeak...still

Tires have an annoying pulsating vibration at highway speeds when making turns too.

All in all, I think I got a good deal so far. Gonna have my mechanic give it a real good look over the first free day i get.
