06 G35 cpe cooling fan runs continuously
Hi folks, got a 2006 G35 coupe. Recently, both driver and passenger cooling fans continue to run as soon as the engine gets warm, regardless if the AC or heater is on. It wont stop running until I get to the destination and turn the engine off. Both fans will engage again after driving for a while, and stay on. Now, i notice the temp gauge going past the normal half mark and continues to rise when I have the AC on. Turning the heater on places it back to the half mark (normal), but that doesnt help in 90 degree weather. There is no coolant leak and both radiator and reservoirs are topped off. Is this a thermostat problem? What could be causing this in your opinion? I may take it to the dealership tomorrow. Thanks much for you input.

Signs pf a cooling problem.
Running the heater and seeing temps drop is a strong indicator of a bad radiator. The heater core is a sort of mini-radiator, so if you sense the car is overheating....crank the heater to max.
How is your coolant? When is the last time it was flushed? Are radiator fins damaged or clogged?
It could also be internal clogging of the radiator fins when using water that is high in mineral content.
