Hello,

Two days ago my car's air system's failed due to improper wiring and car became imobile. Got the car home but the car will not engage in gear UNLESS I first press the manual release valve on the auto. Then it's fine until I place it back into gear Any suggestions would be helpful.

When you put your foot on the brake, do you hear a clicking noise coming from the center console area as you press and release the brake?

 

See if your brake lights are on all the time or work at all. It could be the switch by the brake pedal also.
