I joined the forum today to see how well high mileage cars hold up. I'm at 96K (bought it new) and my extended warranty expired a couple of months ago, so I was worried about major repairs (auto tranny, etc). After reviewing this thread, I can see that I'm just getting started! I can keep my well maintained and paid-for baby a lot longer! Maybe I'll buy her some wheels to celebrate! (Black '04 sedan with sport package - all stock).

 

All stock? What is your problem! Get out there and give your car a present - starting with HFC and Motordyne Plenum Spacer.

 

It's bunches cheaper to mod the motorcycle.
But maybe it's time to check it out. I nearly used the forum name "old fart", so my motivation to mod may be different from some of you youngins here.

I' purchased a used 03 g35... other than replacing a radio plus the ac control chip... and my starter than just gave out on me. the car runs great otherwise. it had about 120k miles, and i put 2k on it myself.

 

mine is 52k =] 06

 

My G had 103,000 last March right before the engine got messed up. Now I have a used engine with about 40K

i do shows in NY, MA, CT, MI ETC sometimes they fly me in. other times i drive down. sometimes i pocket the plane ticket money and just drive.

150k. just got R&D valve covers seals that need to go in. needs some bushings, a radio, and a/c controller, too. oh, and paint. still fun to drive though... lol

03 with 97K on the clock, bought as a salvage ( hit another car & building, whoops ).
Car had been sitting since 2/26, charged battery and Vroom, purrs like a kitten...
Radio is broke and no A/C control head function ( but that's the least of my problems )

I have no idea how she drives ... yet... but soon.
