Front air dam help please.

Long story short, I let my mom borrow the car and she broke the Front Air Dam (2006 base sedan) driving over a bump. She then proceeds to get pissed off at me for lowering the car (350z H. Tech). So now I have to replace it the black strip. My question is this, If the dam is gone, can I just replace it with the OEM Replica Lip? Or does it still need to be there?

I am sure that with a lip that is lower than the air dam you will be fine. The air dam is not replaceable as it is part of the bumper. Part of mine ripped off (about 1/3) and I had to jury rig it. I drilled holes through the bumper and the air dam and zip tied it back in place. It has worked so far.

I was able to glue it back in place, but I am still considering buying the OEM Lip.

Did you use a 2 part epoxy? I did that twice and it came undone both times. Good luck.

I just took some alcohol and cleaned the surface, and put a small amount of Gorilla Glue on the strip, then just put pressure up against it and left it overnight. It's only a temporary fix, especially now that I'm looking for an OEM Lip and OEM Splash Guards.
