Do your Xenon Headlights flicker?
Hi, I was wondering if any of you sedan owner has flicker headlights? I have this 2003.5 G with this problem (only on Passenger side), and I took it to Infiniti of Montclair when it's 6500 miles, they ordered a whole light assembly but instead of installing the new one, they "fixed" the original one. But that didn't solve the problem, so I took it back twice during 10000 miles driving and they said it's normal. But I don't see the headlight flicker on the Loaner. I also contacted infiniti and waiting for their reply. But I would like to get some info from all sedan owners out there. Thanks!

Skeltoncru is right, if it flickers on an off then there is something wrong. if the light seems to jump around then that is normal for a HID lamp. HID lamps don't have a filiment that glows like on a Halogen lamp. It is actually an electrical arc that jumps the tips. When it gets bounced around the arc and move slightly causing it to appear like a flicker. The effect is more prononced on cars with sport suspensions as opposed to loaner that usually have the regular suspensions

Thank you for your reply, guys. The light is more like "wiggle" than on/off. I don't think it's normal since the driver side don't do that on regular road conditions on hwy 57/60/10/405/55(I tested it with a car driving in front of my G). And I don't have a sport suspension on my Sedan (which is the same as the loaner), so I think there's something wrong the headlamp assembly, it's either design flaw or manufacturing flaw. Do you guys have the same problems with one or both lights? Thanks!

There is NO way this normal. I have been asked many times if my lights wiggled or not by other G owners, coupe and sedan. My lights have never wiggled at all. Its not a common issue with HID lights. They should be as steady as the car is, period. I really didnt know where all of these questions were coming from untill I picked up an 04 loaner car that had the problem. It SUCKS, it drove me mad. I was obvious that one of the lights was loose in some way as well as miss aligned. I think it may have been a reflector issue on that particuler car. So in short, its NOT normal. Get it fixed.

I believe it's something wrong with the assembly itself also, it's either the design flaw or manufacturing problem. I called Infiniti Customer Service today and he told me that there's nothing they can do. And I think this is wrong, we paid extra for the HID and it has this problem. So I think we all should send letter to Infiniti and BBB to get it fixed, otherwise they will never do anything about it.
