Squeaking when turning right??
Squeaking when turning right??
When I turn my steering wheel past 50% to make a sharper turn I get a metal on metal squeak from the front end. I'm thinking it could be my brake dust shield, but mine looks fine on both front wheels I still need to take off my wheels and get a closer look. The squeak isn't constant, so I will describe this as best I can.
When making a right turn from a stop, it goes squeak....squeak...squeak...
When making a right turn faster, lets say on a highway ramp, it goes squeak.squeak.squeak
any suggestions on what I should check?

I'm having the same issue its your front sway bar end links if your good with cars put your G up on a jack and look at your spring/strut and you'll see your lower control arm with a metal piece attached to the top take a angled wood chip that would be used to stop a door and apply pressure you should be able to replicate the noise ,I'm also assuming you hear a thumping noise when you hit bumps
I had the same issue before but it was after t upgraded to BBK. It wined up being the lower section of the dust shield. You can push it back towards the inside of the car. You might even be able to do this with a screwdriver from outside your wheel. Just needs to be pushed back a tad.

Drivers side without a doubt if its the end links not saying chris don't know what he's talking about hell I learn from him but I'm going through the same thing

For sure Vin. It could be a number of things. Trial an error. Pushing those shields back is the easiest. End links typically will give a clunking sound also when going over bumps as you mentioned before.
Post what you found/did cone. These type of threads tend to help others as well when the same issue comes up

I asked the mechanic to bend back the brake dust shields when i was getting my compression rods done, he said they were okay but that he bent them back a bit anyway. but the noise is still there, so I don't know. I think I'll have to get a look myself.
Not to mention this is all out of pocket so for the first time in a long time I feel broke
Ill try the sheilds once I know what you guys are talking about if its not that its either struts /springs or this little bar underneath idk what its called but its a little bent

I don't have my car at home right now Vin or I'd snap a pic for you. Once you get the wheel off, just look behind the underside of the rotor. You will see a thin piece of sheet metal just behind the rotor.
Something else that caused a squeak for me (but I only noticed it when at a stand still) is the inner lbushing on the lower control arm. Just something else to look at while you have the wheel off
