Stock side marker here with amber LEDs...I actually prefer the amber lights on an all black car. The contrast of the amber parking lights with black as dusk and dawn looks nice.

I had smoked corners, but with amber turns, it didn't match since the amber LEDs inside didn't light up the same shade.

Was thinking of putting the smoked in and removing the bulbs they aren't really needed.

However, I was also thinking or converting them to the turn signals for better visibility on the sides.

I need to put some fairly bright amber ones in mine and convert them to blinkers. My in-headlight blinkers are hard to see around the projectors

There's a DIY for turning them into blinkers which I did long time ago. I believe the thread is still here around somewhere I would think in the DIY section.

I would like to convert mine to turn signals as well. I often wonder how people know I'm turning when viewing my car from the side. Or for lane changing. I feel like they should be turn signals from the factory. Seems more practical.

I agree...if you are slightly ahead of the rear taillights, there are no visible side blinkers at all. So when you change lanes, if someone is in your blind spot two lanes over, they don't know you are coming over and can change lanes too. Happens to me all the time.

One of my desires it to either convert the side marker to a blinker (either with, or alternating with the OEM blinker) or install side mirror signal lights

Yes! But reason i didn't buy them was because they aren't really as visible from the side, which is what I want. They are pricey, so if i was to spend the cash, i want to be happy.

I haven't convinced myself withthose. They need to wrap around a bit more IMHO

so I'm ordering clear corners soon but I'm honestly undecided between white or amber LEDs to go with it.
It's a tougher decision now that the car is black and not silver.
opinions?
