My ac only kicks in when the outside temp sensor reads below 80 degrees, the actual temp outside doesnt matter and it doesnt matter what the temp inside is set to. i cant really figure out what it is? has anyone else had this problem before?

i tried searching but i didnt find anything other than my ac only works when set to 60 degrees..

So if it's above 80 degrees and you have someone inside car turn the ac on, if you look in the engine bay, do you see the e fan turn on and the compressor click on?

 

i know the compressor does NOT click on when above 80 but im not sure about the fan, i will try in like 30 min once i leave work!!

 

so i just checked it out and the fan doesnt turn on either!
