When you spray cleaned the MAF, make sure and let it dry before plugging it back in and make sure to give it a good 10-15 min after driving to clean it. That wire is thin and gets red hot. If you spray it hot or use it wet, it's a new MAF for you.

 

Thank you for the great info. I was having this issue on my 2006 g35x. Took three handfulls of junk off radiator that was lodged between support bar dead center on radiator. Temp is perfect now. Hour fix.
