Question Opinions on these rotors please...

http://www.autoanything.com/brakes/6...0A3306368.aspx

If you have any other suggestions I would appreciate it. Looking for a reliable set of pads providing at least decent stopping power for $350/set or less. Thanks guys.

I always chime my $0.02 on cheap brakes. I've had good experiences with Centric Premium (E coated) blanks, Wagner thermoquiet blanks sprayed with high temp black and Raybestos premium blanks. Combined with Stoptech 309 streetperformance pads you can't get a better working combo for less. Forget about slotted rotors. I have them and they do squat except add noise and cost more. The pad is already slotted. All you want to do is maximize contact to the rotor material. Spray the blanks with high temp black or gray for better cosmetic durability and don't get brake cleaner or fluid on them. You can get them all on Rockauto.com. I've had good transactions with them.

Summit racing is well known in muscle car/hot rod circles and I believe they have a good rep. Te site even tells you the expected ship date. If there is any doubt, contact them and ask if the date is accurate.

Call me cheap but my rotors always run sub $100 for the pair.

My logic is, i'm a daily driver. Even if i autox i would still do the same, why because its cheap.

I go for centric C-teks blanks. Which you can get from rockauto or amazon.com for about $30-50 each. The C-tek line is the cheapest line they have. When i firsted started with cars, i always bought the prem line of centric or stoptech. Then one day i was tight on money and went with the lowest grade. Really its all the same. the prem has black paint, zinc coating and etc. Most of that stuff wears off when the rotor is in use.

Stoptech has a great name in braking, stoptech is made by Centric. Centric has done all their testing and research with the stoptech brand, its just cost effective to use the knowledge for their other rotors. Maybe not the exact material of the design. None of my C-tek rotors ever warped. If they did i would just buy new ones as they are $30-50

That is my 2 cent. The brake pad does most of the stopping. Good pads + C-tek rotors is how i roll. I dont screw with the slotted, drilled stuff. I think its useless.

I agree 100%. Blank rotors is where it's at when it comes to commuting. If you don't want them to rust spray 3-4 thin coats of high temp paint of your choice. I used to be all about "fancy" rotors but now I know of at least a few model lines of blanks to go with that are reliable. Just as important is to choose a pad compound that really grabs so the braking feel is similar if not better than stock. Good to know C-teks are as good as the Centric premium e-coat. I mean I've used Wagner, Raybestos, Centric. All are about the same performing and way cheaper than stock. These cars are a few years old now. There shouldn't be too much hype about parts just run what works for less.

I put those ebc usr rotors on my g35 last month. I use the ebc redstuff pads with them. I really like them so far. I bought from AJusa and had no problems. Also got some non slotted ebc rotors for my wife's van at usautoparts.net at the same time. (AJ didn't have the right ones in stock at the time). Both have coupon codes if you look around.

I have a couple sets of new OEM rotors available. I measured them with a caliper and they have 100% of rotor thickness left. Selling fronts for $65 each and rears for $55 each.
