Pricing Question
Pricing Question
hi people,
i am shopping for a new G35 Sedan (brilliant silver, automatic, leather, no sunroof, no extra packages). I was offered by a dealer for the invoice price ($27,859+tax and licence). Is that a good price? How much did yall think that model is worth? Anyone out there bought a base model with leather and willing to let me know how much they spend on it? thanx!

Re: Pricing Question
Invoice is a good price. They might be giving you a good price because most people want a lot of options and they are having a hard time selling it.
How many miles are on the car? Was it one of the demo models or is it a new order?
If they offered it at invoice without haggling, I would look into it a little deeper to see why.
You can compare that price with the MSRP at Infiniti.com, just build the car the same and it will tell you MSRP.
Good luck.

Re: Pricing Question
The dealer invoice for a G35 AT Sedan w/leather and absolutely no options or accesories is $26,857 plus the advertising fee for that dealers area (between $400-$600). After that, you add on freight of $545 for a total of somewhere between $27,802 - $28,002.
Your price of $27,859 is excellent.

Re: Pricing Question
My silver sedan, automatic, leather, sport package, trunk mat was $28,025 in Houston. Timing helped as they were trying to sell at year's end to avoid having to pay inventory tax. My driveout was $30,000.
You're giving the dealer an advantage if they add an advertising cost and claim that as invoice. Advertising is a cost of doing business just like water and electricity. Invoice should be what the car costs, plus shipping.
