After owning the car for a month I was rear ended and this is how the body shop put the lettering back on.

Most likely I will have them remove it completely.

 

I dont understand... the decals come from infiniti as a set "G35x" with double sided tape on them already. Looks like you got used decals... hopefully they didnt superglue them on too!

 

Ohh without a doubt they were the original decals. The bumper just had some scratches on it so I believe it was just the cover that was replaced. They said sorry and it's a 15 minute fix. I'm not concerned with it, I just think it's kinda funny. The bumper was scratched to begin with so the guy did me a favor by hitting me.

Now if only someone could back in to me with a truck and scratch my hood.

 

it looks like they should do a little more wet sanding. i see a lot of orange peel.

That is part of the bumper cap. I would hope they painted the entire panel and not just the bumper face.

The rest of the car has a bit of orange peel. The color and texture is pretty close plus it's dirty in that pic. It's probably not the best job since the guy who hit me works for a dealership and knows the body shop. I'm sure they cut corners where they could. Regardless, it looks better than the rest of the car

 

That would never fly with me. If i get hit, i'm taking the car to the shops *I* know well and know will do a great job. I don't care about helping out the guy who hit me...it's his fault anyway
