New to forum.....
Just a quick note to say I'm glad to have found this forum. I've had my G35 sedan for a year now, and have put about 10K on it. It's twilight blue/black, and I bought it for my wife's daily driver. Looking forward to getting information here.

Re: New to forum.....
My daily driver is, well, different than most of you might like. I have highly varied automotive tastes. I just bought a 2003 Silverado for my daily driver, and added some modifications to it.

Nice truck!... I'm not an offroad guy but the lift and wheels look good!
Here's my wife's daily driver.
I wanted it but she wouldn't give it up, so she told me I could get whatever I wanted (in the price range we had decided on). Almost got the IS300Sportcross... glad I decided on the G!

Re: New to forum.....
That's nice. My wifemobile is a 98 Grand Cherokee, and we were starting to look for something bigger.. Tahoe or Sequoia. But now we're thinking that's too big, and we just need something a little wider than the Jeep with a 3rd row that doesn't go to a V8 and sacrifice mileage. Possibly an MDX or XC90. Unfortunately, all the good midsize crossover suv's are in hot demand and selling right at MSRP. Guess we'll wait a little while.

Re: New to forum.....
ryoken,
If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably go with a Lexus RX. We got the Seq specifically for the third row, but the truck frame does sacrifice comfort and luxury; we have 2 kids, but have only used the third row twice in the last 6months. Unless you ABSOLUTELY need a third row, stick to the midsize category; the RX330 looks really good and the price should soften within 4 months or so (because Lexus always makes a $hitload of them).
I've heard good things about the MDX (the Pilot is ugly) but my TL (2002) tranny problems, and research I've done, has lead me to believe that Acura/Honda V6 trannies are questionable at best. Volvo looks interesting, and I believe the Volkswagen is geting rave reviews. Can you go for the new Lexus GX450, V8 4-runner with third row. Or you can stay Nissan and wait for the full size SUV coming soon?
Damn...I bored tonight.... giving lots of unsolicited advice.

Re: New to forum.....
Without a third row, we might as well keep the Jeep. But we've decided we don't need to go to the full-sized. Most of the time we don't need it, but occassionally we do. I had to rent a minivan for my son's 8th birthday last year so we could ferry everyone up to Legoland.
I thought the tranny problems were mainly in the Accords and CL/TL's. Plus, we actually like the Pilot.. but a base MDX compared to a loaded Pilot paints an interesting picture. As for Nissan, I also heard that Infiniti would actually be getting something larger than the QX4.
